Job Description
Title: Public Warehouse Manager: Monday Friday 8AM 5PM
Supervisor: Operations Manager
Responsibilities:
· Help expand the customer base within our Public Warehouse
· Assist our current Public Warehouse customers with every need including inventory inquiries, billing inquiries, inbounds/outbounds, etc.
· Oversee proper inventory rotation
· Direct supervision of receiving and loading procedures
· Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and all company SOP’s
· Maintain a safe warehouse environment and follow all company safety procedures and guidelines at all times
· Bill customers according to their contracts on a monthly basis
· Ensure that accident / injury reports are filled out accurately and promptly
· Record and communicate any operational issues with the respective management staff
· Take on all responsibilities regarding cooperage and pallets including, but not limited to, unloading, receiving, loading, billing, and inventory
· Strong working knowledge and assertive enforcement of Company Operations Dept. Guidelines and Procedures
· Assist in manpower planning
· Other duties as assigned by Operations Manager
Requirements
- · Bachelor’s degree in a business related major · 1-2 years’ experience in a warehouse environment · Excellent written and oral communication skills · Managerial experience with excellent decision making ability · Excellent computer skills, working knowledge of Excel and Google Docs Ability and willingness to work independently
CRITICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- · Sufficient manual dexterity to operate business equipment including, but not limited to, computer keyboard, telephone, adding machine and copier · Sufficient manual dexterity to operate equipment including, but not limited to, forklift, pallet jack, hand truck · Climbing stairs and inclined surfaces on an occasional basis · Walking on hard surfaces on a frequent basis · Frequent exposure to temperatures ranging from 30 - 100 degrees F on a seasonal basis · Two handed lifting of up to 40 pounds from floor to shoulder height on an occasional basis
