Job Description

The MTC mission is to assist and support in the training of Army units and leaders by providing collective training and individual sustainment on Army Mission Command Systems, using a variety of tools and Army fielded systems. These systems are used to support small unit; Squads through Company, Medium unit; Battalion through Brigade and Large Unit; Divisions and Corps in training environments ranging from Stability and Support Operations (SSO) through Unified Land Operations. (ULO). In order to function effectively in the Army’s Unified Land Operations operating environment, these leaders must receive the best training available to enable them to successfully carry out mission-oriented orders up to the Brigade level in an extended Live, Virtual, and Constructive Decisive Action Training Environment.

This position provides Information Technology support to the Mission Training Center (MTC) leadership and mission at Ft Stewart, GA. Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Installing and configuring hardware and software components and run test to ensure systems are operational.
  • Monitors and responds to hardware and software problems utilizing a variety of hardware and software testing tools and techniques.
  • Installs and configures applications software and related hardware (such as desktops, servers, and related peripherals like printers, scanners, drives, monitors and video teleconferencing hardware).
  • Provides software and system troubleshooting and support.
  • Provides technical support and training to end-users.
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
  • Participates in special projects as required

Requirements

  • Active Secret security clearance
  • 1 3 years of experience
  • Associates Degree
  • SECRET Clearance
  • Sec+
  • Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in information system troubleshooting and support.
  • Knowledge of related hardware and software.
  • Professional Certification in one or more specific technologies may be required to meet DoD Approved RMF Baseline Certifications.
