Job Description

Group Product Manager, Automotive Partnerships

We’re tripling our Product Development Team. To prepare for this explosive growth, we are seeking a product and automotive expert to manage our automotive partnerships product group.

DealerPolicy is disrupting insurance distribution. We’re teaming up with top auto retailers across the country to deliver a unique point of sale, technology enabled insurance solution to car-buying customers. Our efforts have earned us the Liberty Mutual Agent of the Future and Travelers Agent of the Year awards and best Tech Startup in VT from the Tech Tribune. Poised to expand rapidly, we are seeking a product manager with deep automotive digital retail and dealer software expertise to take our product the next level.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead large scale B2B partner integrations that place DealerPolicy in every area of the car buying journey from online shopping to the Famp;I office
  • Work with DealerPolicy’s business partners to ensure every customer entering a dealer showroom is presented with an opportunity to quote with DealerPolicy
  • Own the product strategy and execution for automotive partnership products, ensuring meaningful value and quantifiable results
  • Create and maintain annual and quarterly roadmaps
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders throughout DealerPolicy including Marketing, Business Development, Operations, and Dealer Operations to ensure product launch and market adoption success
  • Manage product performance by using customer research and quantitative data to create rigorous analyses that drive feature iterations
  • Perform competitive assessments to ensure DealerPolicy remains focused on being the leader in auto retail insurance distribution

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in product development in OEM’s, Famp;I agencies, or software providers; experience working in dealerships a plus
  • Deep, detailed understanding of the digital automotive and dealer software space and its impact on the car-buying customer journey
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and strongly advocate for the needs of DealerPolicy’s customers
  • Experience working in an agile environment and managing all aspects of the product lifecycle
  • Process and detail-oriented mindset
  • Intimate understanding of motivational and persuasive design in both theory and practice
  • Track record of execution turning ideas into tangle products used by customers that drive business results
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills; great storyteller
  • Extraordinary organizational skills
  • A demonstrated customer-focused mindset and philosophy that actively engages users for input and puts them at the center of every design decision
  • Strong quantitative and process-based analytical skills and the ability to understand and model complex business environments to drive real results
