American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter

Global Dimensions is looking for qualified ASL Interpreters in the Newport, Rhode Island area who are interested in providing American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation services on a part-time, on-call basis in support of a government contractor. Anticipated events include Training Sessions, Meetings, Town Halls, Seminars, and one-on-one sessions. High quality suitability of style and fidelity to nuance must accompany a high degree of factual and conceptual accuracy.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship
• Current/active Secret Security Clearance (preferred)
• Nationally certified by RID or NAD (NIC, NIC Advanced, NIC Master, CI, CT, CI/CT, CSC, NAD III or higher) (preferred)
• Experience with DoD (interpreter or otherwise) to understand vernacular and idioms (preferred)
