Hours: Part time, approx. 30 hours/week 4pm-10pm Monday-Friday
Job Description/Expectation:
- Provides consistent telephone coverage client/public related to admission into the Anchor program.
- Obtains initial paperwork from clients including the collection of client fees, co-payments and other insurance information and enters client demographics into electronic health record.
- Assists Program Supervisor with tracking the dispo. process amp; client insurance authorizations.
- Verifies insurance, obtains co-pays amp; authorizations and enters into electronic health record.
- Assists supervisor in maintenance of contractual obligations to include all spreadsheets and updated billing information.
- Provides communication and coordination with hospitals for direct admissions into Anchor.
- Maintains required Anchor census and works to promote same day admissions when possible.
- Communicates with referring agents amp; coordinates placement for client.
- Maintains client confidentiality by adhering to federal/state privacy requirements.
- Supports location/department in administrative tasks as needed.
- Attends amp; actively participates in staff meetings and trainings as needed.
- Responsible for completing all required paperwork according to agency standards.
- Responds appropriately to the cultural differences of staff, clients, residents, amp; referral sources.
- Adheres to all policies, procedures amp; regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Licensure, Education, amp; Experience:
- HS diploma/GED required; Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- Three years previous administrative, two of which working in a medical setting is required.
