Through the implementation of our evidence based model of Integrated Student Supports and our uniquely designed College and Career Readiness Programming, this school year we expect to connect approximately 8,400 students in 21 schools to targeted interventions, services, and life changing programming by bringing community resources into schools, thus mitigating and eliminating non-academic barriers to student achievement. CISM embeds full-time Student Support Specialists and College and Career Specialists in schools to individually case manage students as well as connect the whole school to services. Summary:

CIS of Memphis seeks an exceptional Director of College and Career Program (DC2) to lead all student support programming. This position will report directly to the Chief of Staff (COS) as part of an executive management team. This DC2 will support our CIS alumni in pursuing their goals post high school graduation. The leader of Postsecondary Supports will be responsible for the programmatic success by ensuring the development, implementation, quality control, evaluation and strategic growth of the College and Career Program (C2). The DC2 is responsible for developing and maintaining positive working relationships with school personnel, addressing challenges as needed and promoting CISM’s programmatic opportunities to relevant school-level counterparts. The DC2 will manage our Workforce Development efforts, relevant matters for CISM efforts specific to postsecondary and workforce development. The DC2 will work in collaborations with partner agencies/business, schools, and surrounding areas to provide services for students. Additionally, the DC2 may be asked to represent CISM at school district and community meetings and events, making presentations where appropriate, effectively advocating for the program and communicating information and activities using appropriate avenues.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Leadership:

  • Cultivate existing relationships with school partners and other postsecondary and workforce development partners with the goal of ensuring sufficient programming and resources, and access to services.
  • Develop and implement strategies that will maximize the synergies among program areas.
  • Enhance, develop, and implement organizational vision as established in CIS of Memphis’ Strategic Plan.

Team Management and Development:

  • Supervise and evaluate C2 Program Staff
  • Oversees the quality and success of all aspects of program operations, relationships curriculum development program managers development.
  • Ensure ongoing programmatic excellence through effective leadership and management of a programmatic team.
  • Recruit, develop, coach, and retain high-performing team members, empowering them to elevate their performance and level of responsibility.
  • Ensure effective intra-team communication and cohesiveness, sustaining culture and sense of stability during periods of organizational growth.
  • Develop and implement strategies that will maximize the synergies among program areas.
  • Coordinate the successful implementation of programmatic quality standards.
  • Collaborate closely with the Data Team to use data and outcomes to drive student interventions and services.
  • Effectively manage programmatic budget and follow related internal processes and reporting.
