BURNCO is looking to add a skilled Lead Dispatcher to our Milliken, Colorado team. Overall, as Lead Dispatcher, you will have key accountabilities including:

What You Will Be doing
- Maintain and develop positive customer relations in a high-volume call-center providing consultative customer support and solutions
- Conflict resolution, serve as first escalation for customer calls or issues
- Promote the Working for the Customer attitude
- Coach Dispatchers on customer interactions
- Ensure Compliance with BURNCO Safety policies to meet or exceed the guidelines of DOT regulations
- Assist in organizing, planning and scheduling Ready-Mix concrete deliveries
- Expected to develop transportation strategies balancing operating capabilities with customer demand. Adjust delivery schedules as necessary and effectively communicate challenges
- Monitor shipping activities for timely plant ticketing, batching, truck tracking and placing activities
- Review daily orders for accuracy and communicate with plants to ensure products are available to meet customer needs
- Maximize resources by scheduling truck assets efficiently and effectively
- Confirm appropriate routes to job sites and assist drivers with directions
- Ensure plant personnel (Drivers and/or Foreman) are aware of order requests, or changes such as special additives (fiber, color, DCI, etc.) and/or special material
- Notify the Plant Foreman of volume changes for accurate inventory management of gravel, cement, additives, etc.
- Work with the Dispatch manager to create efficiencies for the department
- Manage employee work schedules including wash outs and Saturday work rotation
- Coordinate jobs efficiently to control high overtime
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
What We Would Like From You
Education amp; Experience
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- At least three (3) years dispatching experience in the Concrete industry and/or Ready-Mix industry
- At least one (1) year of supervisory experience in a dispatch environment
- Ability to maintain proper attendance while working irregular hours and frequent overtime, includes Saturday shifts
- Strong mathematical, computer and telephone skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task efficiently in a deadline oriented working environment
- Must be fluent in English
Travel Requirements
- Minimal and only as needed within the region

Bonus Eligibility: Annual Hour Bank Accrual
