Challenge Unlimited is hiring a part-time Janitor/Grounds Laborer at our GSA Akron location. This is an ideal position for an individual receiving social security/disability benefits!
- Pay Rate: $12.11 per hour with federal benefits.
- $13.24 per hour when performing Grounds Laborer Duties
- Shift:Part-time, hours between 6:00 AM and 2:00 PM, Monday - Friday with flexibility to meet snow removal needs.
- Location: GSA Akron, John F. Seiberling Federal Building and US Courthouse
This position is for an individual with a documented disability to participate in AbilityOne, a vocational training program.
Job Duties:
- Responsible for janitorial duties at John F. Seiberling Federal Building and US Courthouse
- Cleans, sanitizes, sweeps, mops, vacuums, dust, restocks, and empties trash
- Expected to safely operate equipment
- Contributes to teamwork by training and helping co-workers
- Continually performs duties with a special focus on safety, quality, and customer service.
- When necessary, removal of debris and snow outdoors as a grounds laborer at pro-rated, increased pay
Requirements
Physical requirements:
- Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
- Pushing and pulling up to 50 lbs
Other Requirements:
- Be 18 years or older
- Pass criminal background checks and various state/federal registry checks.
- Have a documented disability and the ability to furnish proof of disability.
