Our Marketing amp; Sales department promotes Joomag and drives sales. The department consists of marketing and sales teams that together develop marketing campaigns and sales strategies that align with our targeted audience.

We are looking for a VP of Sales amp; Business Development to join our executive leadership team. This person will be responsible for owning all aspects of sales achievement, from business development to close. You will benefit from a sales oriented leadership culture with a strong process on Day 1, but the strategy and execution of the team will ultimately be yours to lead, develop, improve, and iterate on.


Job Responsibilities

  • Foster a culture of energy, excellence, and customer-centric problem solving
  • Drive sales growth
  • Manage, support, and backfill (as needed) the current and future team. This could be everything from helping close key deals to identifying and addressing risks amp; opportunities on the horizon
  • Obsess over creating, iterating, and implementing the sales tactics we need to be the most competitive technology company in our market
  • Develop and refine sales strategies to ensure we are leveraging resources to correctly prioritize the right markets, with the right products, at the right time
  • Collaborate with the rest of the executive team to ensure organizational alignment, working closely with Client Success and Product in particular to ensure we are working as 1 team to deliver an amazing experience throughout the customer journey
  • Actively participate in networking opportunities to assist in identifying and seizing opportunities to develop new business
  • Work closely with the team on proposal and sales material creation, white papers and RFI and RFP responses
  • Work closely with the team on joint sales and marketing initiatives such as email campaigns, media opportunities and social media to increase our brand and name recognition

Requirements

  • Proven experience with SaaS
  • Performance-Driven Leadership
  • Deep Collaboration and Partnership: This role is a unique role---we need someone who can see the big picture while also being able to get deep into the technicalities of a specification. The VP of Sales must be comfortable interacting with the CEO as well as with a data scientist/researcher.
  • Executor Extraordinaire: This role requires obsessive attention to detail, a tremendous sense of urgency, and client responsiveness and follow up.
  • Proven track record of growing sales with public cloud solutions
  • Three to ten years’ record of extraordinary sales results in technology, including lead generation and closing deals
  • Strong track record of success in closing complex sales and managing prospective client accounts at various stages of the sales cycle
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including being a great writer and orator
  • Known for a positive and professional image
  • Comfortable with large and medium sized company engagements
  • Proven collaboration with Sales engineering and Product engineering
  • Successful track record working with partner sales channels.
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced and high-growth-stage environment
  • Bachelor’s degree required
