Job Description

What's Clyde - Clyde is an end-to-end product protection platform that is re-thinking the way retailers increase loyalty and drive revenue, and the way customers manage their purchases. We are tackling the $50B per year extended warranty market and becoming the de facto solution in the space by leveraging an intense focus on product, design, and customer experience. Clyde delivers product protection plans directly to consumers as they shop, owning the relationship from purchase to claim submission to resolution. We know that the relationship between retailers and their customers is far from over after checkout, so we’re building products to deliver value at every stage of this relationship.

As a Director of Solutions at Clyde, you will drive Clyde’s future growth engine by partnering with the sales and implementations teams to showcase our unique platform and highlight the ways in which merchant engage with it. In this position, you will work directly with our largest merchant prospects helping to tailor Clyde’s offering to meet the needs of their business and customers by crafting how they take their program to market, both functionally and operationally. In addition, you'll utilize your experience in account strategy, coaching, and deep love of process and structure to help win critical accounts. This role will report into our VP of Solutions amp; Implementations.

  • Build a world-class solutions function from the ground up.
  • Attract, hire, manage, coach, and develop employees to ensure solutions is a high-performing function.
  • Close critical accounts and develop relationships with key merchants.
  • Develop merchant-facing collateral (e.g., presentations, demos, proposals, solution designs).
  • Develop systems to enable team members to access key information, such as use cases, solution designs, POCs, assets, training, etc.
  • Communicate effectively with sales, implementations, leadership, and merchants.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of client facing experience in one or more of the following spaces (A blend is okay!):
    • Software implementation in ecommerce or SaaS
    • Technical account management
    • Solution selling
  • 2+ years of direct management of a technical solutions team at a SaaS or transactional company bonus points for retail or ecommerce experience
  • Proven ability to understand and transfer business processes into defined software solutions
  • Ability to manage multiple merchant projects simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, and comprehension skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of customer and internal personnel
  • Tactical, creative, solutions-oriented thinker
  • Experience working at a start-up or highly ambiguous and dynamic environment required
