Food Manufacturing Facility - Production Scheduler
Responsibilities:
- Manages the development and maintenance of a balanced Production Schedule in accordance with Production requirements.
- Develops flow rates and schedules to meet optimum stocking levels of products to satisfy guest demand while optimizing our inventory investment.
- Coordinate with the Demand Planning Team to develop daily/monthly production plans based on store requirements, product availability, labor, manufacturing and operational requirements.
- Manage the recipes and ingredient change management processes at the Food Manufacturing Facility, effectively coordinating with other departments.
- Manage the production labor model to track efficiencies and labor requirements by area.
- Communicates any deficiencies that could adversely impact store operations.
- Regularly monitors and analyzes guest demand to best balance line productivity with an ability to reschedule production at short notice.
- Maintain just-in-time inventory and ensure production schedules are met and waste is minimized.
- Utilize innovative skills to ideate and develop product planning methods and cost reduction strategies
- Utilizing a continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices. Maintain a clean, sanitary and safe work area.
- Report any food safety and food quality-related issues to management immediately.
Requirements
Experience
- Associates or Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred.
- Experience within the food and beverage industry preferred.
- 2 years’ experience in manufacturing planning or equivalent experience.
- 2 years’ Enterprise Resource Planning experience required.
- Able to provide technical advice for other professionals.
- Able to deal with large amounts of analytical data amp; information, problem-solving skills and ability to make or propose decisions as required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and computer-based applications.
- Must be able to stand, walk, kneel and bend. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally including overhead.
