    InProduction, Inc. is a leader in the event industry providing seating, structures, staging, and scenic production for sporting, corporate, and entertainment events. Our mission is to design and deliver custom seating, staging and scenic solutions for the meetings and events industry to help our clients prepare a unique experience for their audiences.

    We are currently looking for an energetic, focused and detail-oriented Operations Manager to support our Operations Team at our Orlando rental warehouse and fabrication shop. The successful candidate will be a professional who can lead the team, support our goals of continuous improvement and someone who understands the importance of meeting and exceeding our customers’ expectations.     The Operations Manager is the owner of all staging and warehousing activities that take place in the Orlando market. This individual is responsible for managing the Orlando site Operations teams as well as being responsible for the activities of our technicians on each project including ultimate accountability for the accurate counts of gear shipping to and returning from all jobs. As the Operations lead at the Orlando site the Operations Manager is required to manage the day to day operational issues that arise while at the same time setting the team up with best in class processes and procedures that support maximum revenue generation on each project.

    The Operations Manager is responsible for the development and tracking of key performance indicators to ensure inventory accuracy at the warehouse and job sites to identify risks and highlight problems and opportunities across the business. This individual will also oversee our field Technicians and their work turning our clients’ vision into reality. Successful execution of the role will result in improved overall performance of the Orlando warehouse team, a reduction in equipment losses, an increase in customer satisfaction and a streamlined warehouse with a seamless flow of people, parts and information to support our customers’ projects. The Operations Manager reports directly to the Vice President of East Operations.


    Essential Duties amp; Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of Warehouse Techs responsible for order picking, staging, shipping, receiving, repairs and event technical operations.
  • Ensure technicians are properly trained and supported for each job
  • Plan for and execute the timely picking and shipping of equipment orders to meet the overall event schedule.
  • Intervene as necessary to ensure that shipping needs are scheduled to support on-time shipments.
  • Supervise the repair and clean-up of our inventory as it flows through the Orlando warehouse; make sure repairs are completed prior to restocking equipment returning from events.
  • Oversee and maintain an up-to-date and accurate inventory of assets in the Orlando rental Warehouse.
  • Work with the Inventory Manager to review overall demand to determine if current inventory is adequate to fulfill all outstanding orders. Determine alternative sourcing (e.g. cross-rental, asset purchase) if demand exceeds supply.
  • Responsible for the overall operation of the Orlando rental warehouse including maintaining safe, clean and well-organized facilities.
  • Fleet Management: Responsible for managing the local truck equipment, power units, trailers, box trailers as well as our fleet of local dedicated drivers.
  • Act as the site safety leader responsible for ensuring compliance with all OSHA and company required training and safe work practices.
  • Execute inter-warehouse transfers of equipment including development and oversight of our inbound and outbound pick-lists
  • Look for opportunities to reduce costs in areas including but not limited to shipping, logistics, asset amp; supply purchases, amp; cross-rentals.
  • Provide timely and accurate communication to site management and other stakeholders.
  • Lead the preparation and running of physical inventory events
  • Work with Inventory Manager to devise ways to optimize inventory control procedures
  • Support the use of the warehouse management system to ensure that the warehouse team is utilizing inventory lists for picking and returning gear
  • Participate in company meetings and provide recommendations on how to improve our operations and inventory management processes; provide training and guidance as needed.
  • Monitor, track and report on key Operational metrics and dashboards to help communicate performance and drive improvements throughout the organization.
  • Assist with the annual budgeting process
