BURNCO is looking to add a skilled Pump Operations Manager to our team in Denver, Colorado. Someone who drives change and takes pride in their high-quality workmanship and their ability to get things done effectively and timely. The primary areas you will be responsible for include:

  • Pump Business Strategy
  • Customer Service
  • Daily Supervision and Team Accountability

What You Will Be doing

  • Ensure Pump Division team members follow proper company policies, procedures, laws, and regulations including OSHA safety and quality standards
    • Report safety hazards and create safety first culture
  • Hold team members accountable to behaviors and expectations, participate in hiring and onboarding process, reward and recognize team members based on achievements, coordinate on the job training and career development opportunities
  • Coordinate business activities with other departments including Sales, Dispatch and Maintenance
    • Inspect job sites for special requirements and safety measures
    • Schedule pumps trucks for timely arrival on job sites, coordinate employee work schedules to comply with DOT hours of service rules
  • Order and pick up supplies, parts, materials for pump trucks, manage allocated budget
  • Respond to breakdown, job site issues, address equipment repairs and replacements
    • Schedule repairs and maintenance
  • Review and submit completed DVIRs and Pump Inspection sheets for concerns to resolve
  • Keep track of registration, inspection and permit renewals
  • Back up Pump Operator positions if needed
  • Other duties as assigned



Requirements

What We Would Like from You

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or a combination of experience and education
  • 8+ years of related industry experience, strong understanding of operational safety and risk mitigation practices
  • American Concrete Pumping Association certification preferred
  • Experience leading teams and managing others to organizational objectives
  • Understands Pump operational best practices, methodologies and industry trends
  • Understands DOT hours of service requirement and dispatch practices
  • Knowledge of Command software and intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Good organization and time management skills, can manage multiple, competing priorities
  • Effective communication and conflict resolution skills, ability to motivate others, ability to manage change
  • Ability to travel locally up to 75%

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly sits, stands, walks, types, and occasionally lifts up to 50 lbs.
  • Employee primarily works out of office at a plant location but is mobile between other plant locations and construction job sites.

Rate or Range: $85,000 annually and up
