Buxton is looking for a collaborative and data-driven SDR Manager with experience in building and scaling B2B SaaS teams. We are looking for an energetic and driven leader who has a strong command of B2B SaaS leadership and sales experience. The ideal candidate should be a data-driven sales leader with a proven track record of managing mid-large sales teams to achieve aggressive revenue goals. The perfect candidate is accustomed to driving SDRs to achieve (and exceed) appointment setting, revenue, operational goals, and strategic goals as well as foster the professional growth, development, and success of their team members. Spend the majority of time coaching, counseling and mentoring the SDR team in all aspects of the sales cycle. Provide timely and practical feedback to key leadership stakeholders for alignment on go-to-market strategies that will elevate the team.

What you'll do

  • Recruit, attract, hire, develop and retain SDR talent at Buxton.
  • Onboard, educate and train SDRs on the GTM strategy, including relevant product, personas, industry, and competitive sales knowledge.
  • Segment the SDR team including building out inbound and outbound funnel activities, core functions, team leads, and managers.
  • Coach, mentor, motivate and drive the performance of the SDR team focused on delivering qualified leads to our AEs. Effectively manage paths for career advancement within the SDR function (i.e. transitional SDR).
  • Oversee sales execution strategies and tactics focused on quota attainment by the Sales amp; Business Development teams. This includes best practices in prospecting, outreach, qualification and objection handling.
  • Work with senior leaders across the organization to identify successful Sales Development strategies and tactics by segmenting verticals
  • Develop a strategic business plan to successfully achieve the targeted top of funnel objectives.
  • Coach and drive the Sales Development team on a daily basis to achieve revenue goals and quotas. This will be accomplished by measuring and monitoring prospecting and outreach, and time-to-appointment setting.
  • Partner with Marketing to define, refine and optimize the lead management process and ensure Sales Development Representatives (SDR) adopt and comply with the best practices established.
  • Define KPIs for the SDR team and measure team performance including activity, meetings/demos, pipeline and quotas.
  • Coach, mentor, motivate and drive the performance of the SDR team focused on delivering qualified leads to our AEs. Effectively manage paths for career advancement within the SDR functions and sales.
  • Ensure the SDR team efficiently and effectively manages and qualifies inbound leads, as well as develops outbound strategies while leveraging digital, product and field marketing resources for campaign development to build quality pipeline that converts to closed business.
  • Plan, forecast, and understand ramp and capacity to ensure the team is grown effectively, in tandem with the prospecting needs of our sales organization and the supply of inbound demand from marketing.
  • Manage SDR rosters for tracking ramp, adjusted capacity, and productivity.
  • Create and manage SDR reports and dashboards to ensure the results they deliver can be easily understood by stakeholders throughout the organization.
  • Work hand in hand with our Director of Marketing Enablement to understand our inbound and outbound funnels in real time.
  • Drive accountability through performance management and commitment to sales coaching and development of every team member.
  • Partner with Marketing to ensure constant development of the team.
  • Accurately forecast weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales projections.
  • Attract, recruit, onboard and retain top sales talent in a proactive manner to ensure staffing coverage.
  • Collaborate with leadership to share best practices as well as problem solve and implement solutions that will drive overall team performance.

Requirements

Who you are

  • 7+ years of sales leadership experience including 3+ years managing junior to mid-level managers and senior level SDRs.
  • Consistent and measurable track record of success that you can easily speak to and highlight.
  • Experience working closely with cross-functional stakeholders across marketing, sales operations, enablement and product.
  • Deep understanding of prospecting, outreach, qualification and objection handling within B2B SaaS
  • Demonstrated passion for hiring, developing and coaching top sales talent
  • Expertise with Salesforce, SalesLoft, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Gong, Drift, etc.
