Job Description

Position Description: The Functional Area Analyst must have experience in the analysis of IT business and information environment, activities, and events. Analyst is responsible for working with users and customers to document and strategize for process improvements for current business processes (business process reengineering).

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for providing market research on conditions that impact the overall operational efficiency of an organization and identifying symptoms for process improvement.
  • Evaluate the company products and compare them against industry trends.
  • Develop an understanding of company products to meet the company's current and future needs.
  • Provide assistance with product and rating reviews.
  • Develop and oversee small to medium scale projects.
  • Analyze metrics to continually improve company products.
  • Contribute to company operations, such as costing, inventory control, planning, and budgeting.
  • Assist the company in achieving short and long-term goals relating to product growth.
  • Work with other company departments to improve the analysis and presentation of products.
  • Requirements

    Years of Experience: 5 years

    Education Requirements:A Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, or a related scientific or technical discipline is required.

    Required Skills:

  • Must have a technical background with some developer/tester/devops experience.
  • Must have experience in finding trends, errors and reviewing data with report writing skills.
  • Must have deep knowledge of process and risks
  • Previous product analysis experience
  • Proficient in data software
  • The ability to balance customer needs against the company’s vision
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
  • Agile backlog management
  • Managing/directing the work of a team of analysts
  • Requirements gathering/elicitation
  • Meeting facilitation
  • Product demonstrations
  • Requirements traceability
  • Requirements documentation
  • Agile software development lifecycle (experience building and managing user stories based on business, functional and technical requirements)

    • Problem Solving: Ability to analyze problems and determine root cause, generating alternatives, evaluating and selecting alternatives and implementing solutions.
