Job Description

Internally our Data Governance Analyst is called an Enterprise Data Business Analyst. Our analysts provide analysis and business process expertise to identify and implement improvement opportunities that mature enterprise data management at Armstrong Flooring. The Enterprise Business Analyst supports the data governance model, which includes aligning roles and responsibilities of the functional and technical areas, drives the strategy and execution of SAP master data across Armstrong Flooring.

Location: Remote- 10% travel as needed

Business Analyst, Enterprise Data Salary: $85,000 - $115,000, based on experience (Gr. 11/12)


How you’ll contribute to the team:

DATA SERVICES: Provide SAP subject matter expert support to business changes, strategic projects and integrations that span across multiple platforms.

  • Lead business and IT resources in conducting full assessments to identify impacts to data reliability, data standards (data definitions and business rules) and data process governance.
  • Liaison between business functions and technical areas to ensure that data related business requirements are clearly defined, communicated, and well understood.
  • Provide solution proposals and provide appropriate recommendation on alignment to the data model, leveraging SAP standard model and enterprise direction.

DATA GOVERNANCE: Establish and uphold data management policies, standards, and processes.

  • Lead identification and resolution of data quality problems through the data governance structure.
  • Profile data content, structure, and reliability including inconsistencies, inaccuracies and incompatibilities between data applications utilizing data profiling techniques and tools.
  • Establish data relationships, and generate accurate source-to-target mapping between different data structures and define the necessary transformation specifications.
  • Lead continuous improvement to data governance processes and practices utilizing process excellence tools.
  • Research industry standards and practices applicable to AFI master data in order to make appropriate decision around new and existing data definitions in support of the standard.

Requirements

What you'll bring to the table:

  • 3+ years of experience with SAP
  • 5+ years of data management
  • 3+ years of experience working as a Business Analyst across multiple projects and business information systems

  • Computer Science degree, Engineering degree; Information Systems, Data Analytics degree; Bachelor’s
  • Process Excellence Certified (LEAN, Six Sigma)
  • Project Management (PMP, ACP, CSM)
