Dealmed is a leading medical supply and pharmaceutical distributor in the North East and Mid-Atlantic United States. We service customers across multiple markets with a catalogue of over 25,000 medical products, including several hundred of our own proprietary brands. The company has experienced rapid growth in recent years and is looking for the right talent to complement our growing team of professionals.
Job Overview:
- Expand the company’s EMS business and be compensated for it.
- Reach out to potential Non- Government run EMS (ambulance and prehospital agencies) customers via phone, email, mail, online and in person meetings to obtain their business.
- Complete Government bids and manage winning bid accounts.
- Account management of current accounts assigned to you and of new accounts that you close.
- Attendance of regional trade shows approximately 2-3 times per year
- The job will be approximately 75% of the time in our Brooklyn office and 25% of the time on the road.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting Sales on the phone and in person to both warm and cold leads
- Cold calling and emailing approximately 10 -30 potential accounts on a daily basis.
- Completing Government bids and handling orders and questions from winning bids
- Approximately once a day per week the candidate will be on the road to visit with customers, prospects, and cold call leads.
- Promote Dealmed Brand items.
- Monitoring customer’s sales activity and reaching out to ensure business is being maintained and not lost to the competition.
- Be able to respond quickly and professionally through all channels with customers and prospects.
- Updating and maintaining an EMS product catalog. This includes reviewing our current catalog and recommending changes .
- Resolving customer complaints by investigating problems and making recommendations to management.
- Submitting marketing suggestions to increase inbound calls or website traffic from new perspective customers, including what trade shows to attend.
- Researching product detail and specs for customers by working with vendors, reviewing tech sheets, and performing online searches.
- Learning and maintaining professional and technical knowledge of the latest medical products and technologies including industry trends.
- Selling EMS Pharmaceuticals.
Requirements
- Must have either Sales experience in the EMS market and/or be a certified EMT/Paramedic.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Highly organized.
