Job Description
Title: Community Research Fellow
Location: Fully Remote (must be based in the United States)
Compensation: $20/hr
Term: Project-Based; 18 weeks: likely early-mid October-February (flexible); 15-20 hours a week

Our mission is to empower low-income and Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) communities towards a just and inclusive clean energy transition through accessible and affordable community solar projects, research and innovation, and state-based policy solutions.
We are looking for a Community Research Fellow to provide assistance on a Department of Energy-funded study entitled Product Innovation to Increase Low- to Moderate-Income Customers’ Adoption of Community Solar PV. Working remotely, this position will work to establish partnerships with community-based organizations focused on recruiting survey respondents from historically excluded communities. These partnerships and survey responses are pivotal for completing our research on what community solar product offerings are more and less favorable for populations currently excluded from community solar; namely low-income and BIPOC communities.
Requirements
Required Quaifications
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Experience working with Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint and G Suite Web Applications
- Experience communicating in a professional, culturally sensitive, and engaging manner
- Experience doing various forms of outreach to diverse audiences
- Motivation to be a self-starter with innovative ideas
It would be great if you also had
- Bilingual capabilities in English and Spanish
- Experience doing remote outreach
- Experience doing data entry
