About the Job

For a fleet consisting of a variety of vehicles including semi tractors, trailers, box trucks, pickup trucks, commercial and noncommercial vehicles, prepare and process registrations, permits, titles, HUT, IFTA and all other regulatory mandates to maintain fleet compliance. Responsible for assisting in the management vehicle accidents and claims as well as responding to driving complaints on drivers, work in partnership with cross functional partners to review and provide appropriate actions with insurance claims.

This person will be responsible to ensure compliance with all regulations and record keeping concerning driver hours of service, vehicle maintenance, driver fitness, etc. and ensure the company follows and is in compliance with all DOT, Federal and State laws and regulations, and able to provide training, instruction and guidance in these areas.

This position is located in Warrenville, Illinois 60555

Salary will be commensurate with experience.


Duties and Responsibilities:

DOT Compliance

  • Managing and audit CMV files, DOT driver qualification files, DOT drug/alcohol programs, vehicle inspections, hours of service, permits, etc.
  • Maintain updated FMCSA carrier safety profile.
  • Ensure that all maintenance operations are done in accordance with company policy and DOT guidelines and service vehicles
  • Renew IFTA license annually
  • Manage fuel cards

IFTA

  • Calculate and file quarterly IFTA Taxes.
  • Compliance with governmental reporting, i.e. IFTA, maintaining plates, permits, IPASS and violation resolutions
  • Compiling periodic distance and fuel reporting in compliance with IRP/IFTA requirements

Additional Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate all maintenance activities including analyzing equipment needs, reliability issues, developing preventive/predictive maintenance programs
  • Maintain and manage Truck/Trailer inventory (i.e. what is in yards, location of keys, etc.)
  • Facilitate the Renting and Purchasing of Equipment, Trucks, Trailers, etc
  • Quarterly Reporting on all assets.
  • Develop and Maintain a wide variety of fleet operational guidelines
  • Assisting in managing Driver payroll
  • Assist in hiring Class A CDL drivers
  • Utilize Telematics to allocate truck mileage and rates for each job, establish Geo Fences related to each job/project, and maintain the integrity of all data within Telematics.
  • Monitor and manage Telematics Alerts for speeding, theft, and other alerts and provide reports.

Requirements

About You

  • Broad experience with and working knowledge of FMCSA / DOT regulations
  • Broad experience with and working knowledge of Drug amp; Alcohol Compliance Systems (TPS Alert, NCMS, DISA)
  • Broad experience with and working knowledge of Telematic systems and applications.
  • High School diploma or equivalent
