Summary
We are looking for a smart, experienced, and motivated ProjectAccountant to join our Sacramento team.
The Project Accountant is responsible for performing billing processes and manage project reporting. This person will interact closely with our account teams to maximize billings and provide project accounting support.
This is a hybrid work-from-home/office position, but the candidate must live near Sacramento.
What You’ll Do:
- Prepare customer billing
- Manage the collection of outstanding receivables
- Entering vendor bills related to your customers into our accounting system
- Ensuring vendors are paid timely
- Providing project-level reporting on performance versus estimate and profitability targets
- Special projects, as assigned
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; CPA a plus
- 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a professional services organization
- Understanding of GAAP accounting
- Exceptional Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Great attention to detail
- Organized
- The desire to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
- Patient and approachable communication style
- Experience using NetSuite and/or OpenAir a huge plus
- Experience working in a shared services environment is helpful
