We are currently seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to join the RoundGlass IT organization, reporting to the Leader of Cloud Engineering and Operations.As a Cloud Engineer you will be responsible for the assessment, analysis, design and implementation of systems and integrations aimed at increasing the level of security, automation, and observability of all cloud-based systems at RoundGlass.
Our ideal candidate is one who is passionate about iteratively optimizing cloud architectures, reducing toil, and improving the platform for software products.What you’ll do:
- Identify and execute automation projects
- Communicate with software engineers about applicable patterns and practices (devops, SRE, performance engineering, platform engineering, and cloud native)
- Work in a scientific way by forming hypothesis; designing validation experiments, and delivering incremental improvements
- Create performance benchmark tests
- Support monitoring and observability
- Design and improve infrastructure
Who we’re looking for:
- 5-7 years of experience with AWS and infrastructure as code and delivery automation
- 5-7 years of experience with scripting languages
- 5-7 years of experience administering Linux systems
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work across teams
