Job Description

THE OPPORTUNITY:
Hint, one of the fastest-growing beverage companies in the market, is seeking a highly motivated Area Sales Manager (ASM) to drive our retail sales in the Syracuse, New York region. You'll reinforce Hint’s expansion in the enhanced water category. This is an opportunity to be an integral part of a growing brand as the beverage industry continues to trend towards healthier options.
Your primary goal is to drive sales by generating new business through prospecting, outreach, and acquisition. You will also work with our Market Managers to develop and grow revenue with the existing business. You will develop a specific delivery route for our supporting Merchandisers ensuring that our products are received, invoiced, and placed on display/shelves in a timely manner.
The perfect candidate will be independent, enthusiastic and collaborative. You will lead all aspects of the sales cycle: developing and maintaining key accounts, identifying opportunities for growth and fostering deeper customer relationships. A proactive approach to all aspects of customer service and development is a must!WHAT YOU'LL ACHIEVE:
  • New Business Development: You're well versed in the beverage landscape of your territory and already have a network established. You'll work with our Distribution partners to identify opportunities for new account acquisition. You'll initiate and maintain contact with key stakeholders at key accounts continuing to build value with the Hint brand and most importantly, you close the deal!

  • Account Growth: You'llpresent new SKU's and flavor options to local account managers and drive adoption by organizing customer demos and local events leveraging our local Field Marketing Team. You know how to present value and ROI to an accounts and drive continued growth within your territory. You'll also provide recommendations for additional distribution and regional chain development.

  • Account Management: You'll ensure changes in pricing and product are communicated to your team and your accounts. You understand your customer's point of view and know how to communicate Hint's value to your customers so they see the ROI of adopting our products. You'll stay updated on product trends and availability and actively seek out opportunities to benefit your accounts with tailored sales plans. You'll also communicate out of stocks effectively and are a proactive problem solver.

  • Team Management amp; Participation: You'll participate in weekly sales calls to highlight successes, discuss challenges and understand company-wide strategies. You'll look for ways to coach your Merchandisers and teach them about Hint and the beverage industry as a whole. You're a team player and eager to help your teammates and accounts achieve greatness.

  • Promotions amp; Point of Sale: You're responsible for an excellent in store experience for our customers. You'll guide and assist our wonderful Hint Merchandisers in building and maintaining displays to drive sales. You'll ensure each store is equipped with racks, coolers, push glides and marketing banners as other sales spaces ensuring that Point of Sale and signage is up to date.

  • Time amp; Territory Management: You'll plan your day in order to hit all your accounts and give each customer an excellent Hint experience. You'll also communicate with District Managers to plan for promo weeks, displays and other sales efforts. You'll track and monitor progress by consistently using CRM tools (Repsly) to document important info, take pictures and schedule follow ups.

  • Travel: You'll need your own vehicle and valid driver's license for this role. Some travel to other regions for assistance may be requested to support adjacent territories.

  • Other: We'll do our best to help you learn about other dimensions of sales such as distributor sales, foodservice and field marketing.

WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH:
  • Area Sales Manager/Market Manager/Zone Director:You'll Report directly to our Area Sales Manager Market Manager for MA
  • Local Sales Team:You'll assist other Area Sales Managers and Merchandisers to ensure all our Hint territories are successful
  • Sales Marketing:You'll communicate with the Sales and Marketing teams to make sure Point of Sales and promotional materials make it to our stores and look fantastic
WHO YOU ARE AND WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
  • At least 3 years of CPG sales experience, beverage preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree ideal, but work experience will be considered
  • You have experience with Sales KPI's and know how to achieve quotas and goals
  • You've managed a team and can demonstrate how you've helped others to achieve success
