The RoleWe are searching for an Associate Director of Digital Marketing to join our rapidly growing Emerging Digital Team, with a dedicated focus on one of our key multi-family real-estate clients. This role requires experience in critical thinking and problem-solving across multiple channels and platforms, as well as thoughtful leadership and people development.
This role is dynamic and combines extreme ownership and autonomous decision-making, client-facing, boardroom presence, and thoughtful, collaborative internal strategic planning and problem solving to ensure, as a team and a company, we are continuing to grow.
Along with managing a key client you will help with the management and development of managers and specialists in the department. In this role, you will have a voice in all day-to-day operations and the strategic direction of our team.

#LI-JLYou Will Be
- Managing a team of 3+ digital marketing managers by guiding full-funnel strategies across our core channels of Paid Search, Display, Paid Social, and SEO, identifying account opportunities and obstacles, and developing communication skills
- Coaching direct reports on foundational skills, including clear communication, expectation setting, rapport building, active listening and conflict de-escalation
- Closely overseeing and facilitating the onboarding of new accounts that fall under direct reports
- Interfacing with direct reports’ clients to collect feedback, articulate value, present strategy and strengthen the relationship
- Supporting adoption of strategic initiatives in their account portfolio
- Providing annual performance reviews and customized professional development plans for direct reports
- Supporting the training of new hires within your team of direct reports on multiple levels including specialist, associate manager and managers.
- Maintaining sufficient knowledge of core digital marketing channels, including Paid Search, Display, Paid Social and SEO
- Identify critical client/account issues and escalate them to appropriate executives in timely manner
- Directly manage one account to stay current on applicable technology, tactics and industry trends
- Using the account to test and learn new strategies, features and platforms and share findings with department
- Improving business processes amp; workflows to better enable collaboration amp; efficiency between account managers, clients, and business units such as accounting or marketing
- Report to Director of department and other upper executives on key client service pillars: same store growth, retention, new business and partnerships
- Anticipating the needs of the Director and provide concise, actionable information on account opportunities, account obstacles and direct reports
- Developing a deep understand of client businesses, industries and competition
- Participating in planning and strategy sessions with clients to understand KPIs, business goals and marketing goals
You Must Have
- 2-3 years of experience working in paid media and/or SEO within an agency/client environment
- Minimum of 2 years prior staff management with development and mentoring experience
- Extensive experience developing, optimizing, analyzing, and reporting on paid campaigns on search platforms (Google Ads, Bing, Yahoo Gemini, Criteo, etc.) and/or keyword research/data mining tools, competitive analysis, and technical knowledge of website architecture
- Experience with data analytical tools such as Google Analytics
- Working knowledge of competitor insight tools such as SEM Rush and/or Spyfu
- Strong working experience Google suite, Excel, Powerpoint, Keynote, Asana (project management)
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to identify and respond to situations quickly
- Bachelors degree in communications, Advertising, Marketing or related discipline
