Reed Abbitt MooreSugarCRM is looking for an experienced Content Marketing Strategist who is passionate about tech and latest marketing trends to join our Content amp; Creative Marketing team. If you consider yourself to be a self-starter with an interest in telling stories as a way to enable users of technology, a love for copywriting, optimization, and analysis then this position is for you! This role reports directly to the Director, Content amp; Creative and is either fully-remote or based in one of our many offices.The ideal candidate loves to write and has experience in producing a wide variety of content, but also has the ability to put a thoughtful and strategic content strategy in place to support business objectives. The ideal Content Marketing Strategist must work closely with marketing team members, communicating goals and providing updates effectively.Responsibilities:
  • Own the creation and implementation of SugarCRM’s content marketing strategy including the development of themes/topics and content creation.
  • Research, write, and edit content pieces (blog posts, whitepapers, webinars, tutorials, videos, presentations, and more) that are aligned to the content strategy.
  • Work with both internal and external content creators and subject-matter experts to make sure deadlines are met and messaging is on-brand, concise, and visually appealing
  • Responsible for understanding Sugar's corporate positioning and applies it accordingly across various content with the appropriate tone and voice
  • Is able to report on and articulate the value of content marketing activity as a driver of lead generation and brand awareness.
  • Working alongside other team members to manage and successfully execute the content marketing calendar
  • Establish workflows and best practices for requesting, creating, editing, publishing, and retiring content
  • Provide project management support on key marketing initiatives
  • Work with Marketing Automation, SEO, and Social managers/teams to coordinate execution of marketing campaigns
  • Keep up-to-date with on-page SEO best practices and trending industry topics for content creation support
  • Communicate results of marketing campaigns and suggest tests to continuously improve results
  • Assist with other marketing projects when needed
What Success Looks Like:
  • Ownership of content marketing strategy
  • Produce ready-to-publish articles on a weekly basis.
  • Produce at least one ebook / white paper on a quarterly basis
  • Potential to people-manage and coach direct reports including (but not limited to) social media and communication team members
  • Strong familiarity with SugarCRM’s solutions offering
Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of content marketing experience, specifically in the SaaS B2B-space
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign amp; Acrobat), Canva, WordPress CMS, Microsoft Office, Grammarly, Google Workspace and project management tools such as Teamwork.com
  • You have strong project management, interpersonal and prioritization skills
  • You are an outstanding written and verbal communicator (writing samples will be required)
  • You are able to simplify and translate complex topics and technologies for multiple audiences
  • Experience brainstorming with marketing teams on new campaign ideas
