About the Associate Engagement Manager (B2B Enterprise SaaS) role:
OpenGov seeks to expand its early-stage Enterprise Project Management team with a highly organized and self-motivated Associate Engagement Manager.
As an OpenGov Associate Engagement Manager, you’ll enjoy challenging and innovative projects and thrive in a fast-paced environment where accountability is paramount. A successful candidate will bring experience in project management fundamentals, proven leadership capabilities, excellent written and verbal communication skills, passion for the success of the customer, and a desire to bring innovative technology to the government sector.
This is a role that has an intentional path of professional career growth by onboarding a well-rounded business professional to grow into a more senior role as the company expands its customer base and product portfolio. However, the selected candidate must demonstrate strong performance and understanding of OpenGov’s business and technology in order to move into one of these roles.
Associate Engagement Manager Responsibilities:
• Monitor project portfolio and identify early indicators for risks and issues.• Contribute to the ongoing development of project management and delivery methodology for OpenGov’s enterprise SaaS solutions.• Partner with cross-functional teams to gather key documentation and required resources in order to set appropriate expectations with internal and external stakeholders.• Ability to innovate in a minimally structured environment, while bringing best practices to help provide appropriate structure.• Track and report on project progress, budget, and health.• Prospect specific implementation approaches, scopes, and plans.• Support Statement of Work creation on an as-needed basis.• Assist in enhancing our methodology of project delivery of our growing set of solutions.• Occasionally travel to customer sites to conduct training and solidify customer relationships
Minimum Qualifications:
• 1-3 years experience in a customer-facing role.• Solution-oriented mindset• Experience communicating with and setting expectations with various levels of stakeholders.• B2B technology (or at least, exposure to it).• Google or Microsoft productivity products (spreadsheets, documents, presentations).• Prior project planning and tracking experience.• Ability to balance competing priorities independently.• Strong aptitude for learning new technologies, new processes.• Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
Strongly Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with project management methodology/concepts, and awareness of and interest in PMP Certification.• Hands-on experience identifying and mitigating project risks. • Working with challenging people and working through conflict.• Experience with or exposure to activity tracking software/processes.Workflow concepts.• Accounting concepts and fundamentals.• Prior Public Sector experienceWhat makes OpenGov unique
