The problem you’ll be solvingShippo is quickly expanding its footprint both domestically and globally. We are looking for a Senior PM to own our North America Carrier Integrations. You’ll be working with a dedicated team of engineers to grow and support our carrier network. Ultimately, your role is to ensure that Shippo continues to be on the forefront of carrier integration - providing the best coverage of carriers and services for our customers and partners, ensuring we are strong partners to our carriers.
Who you areYou are a seasoned Integrations PM that is able to understand the diverse needs of the market. You learn quickly and can distill things down to first-principles to help make clear long term decisions. You either know the small parcel landscape well, or has significant parallel experience and can quickly get up to speed. You are a strong advocate for the customer. You seek to understand the underlying customer motivations and have a strong thirst for customer insights to make decisions.You share your team’s objectives, you are a strong collaborator that the organization trust, you quickly become the subject matter expert, you know when to default judgment to others and when you should take lead, you reach consensus through rationalization and data, and you seek to continually improve.What you’ll do- Understand the needs of the local market. Identifying which carriers are important to include into the network, what services do we need and the industry trends that will likely make an impact on our business
- Build a roadmap grounded by the needs of the market and carriers - extended from the product strategy that is achievable yet ambitious with shared buy-in across the organization
- Work closely with your Carrier Product Teams counterparts to define the overall vision and strategy
- Collaborate across our Carrier Expansion and Carrier Platform teams to deliver new services that meet the local needs of the market
- Collaborate with our compliance teams to understand and prioritize the compliance initiatives to ensure we’re always delivering quality connections.
- Collaborate with your tech leads and engineering teams to deliver quality integrations that our customers value.
- Identify strategic opportunities with our carrier partners to up level the shipping experience for merchants and shoppers
- Highlight risks and proactively seek to mitigate them
- Scale our product and engineering organization through recruiting, hiring, and interviewing
- Assume ownership over and accountability for the end-to-end success of your product area from ideation and strategy to execution and iteration/post-launch
Requirements- 5+ years of product management at a technology company
- Experience working on integration products within SaaS providers
- Experience working on integrating dozens of providers
