WHY THIS ROLE IS MISSION-CRITICALThe Senior IT Project Manager is responsible for planning, designing, managing, and implementing all necessary activities to manage the successful execution of projects. This includes the project governance, budget, resource and timeline development, build quality, testing and operational readiness and the project’s readiness to go live throughout the Solution delivery lifecycle. Thsi position has the responsibility to indirectly lead and support a team of managers and individual contributors across multiple disciplines.KEY PRIORITIES:- Drive consistency and quality in the execution of projects using the appropriate methodology and tools
- Lead budget management, resource planning and utilization
- Govern the Project lifecycle with quality tollgates throughout the phases of Solution Delivery lifecycle
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project-level risks and escalate them to project owners and/ or the program manager when needed
- Assess the completion and consistency of projects and their readiness to go live by governing the testing, training, data conversions and technical amp; business cutover plan
- Provide project reporting and status updates using scorecards, status reports and review meetings with internal stakeholders
- Own the relationship with the external vendors including quality assurance in all phases of project delivery
- Lead the RFP process outlining the functional and technical requirements
WHO YOU ARE: Experiences, Qualifications and Traits:- 10+ years of experience in large SAP ERP implementations
- 5+ years of SAP Project manager experience with minimum 2 rounds of SAP implementation
- Experience in Software Development lifecycle with Waterfall, Agile and DevOps
- Excellent communication skills, able to drive effective discussions with project resources from tactical execution level up to steering committee members and supervise the work of multiple workstreams running in parallel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - communicate in a clear and succinct manner and effectively evaluate information / data to make decisions, anticipate obstacles and develops plans to resolve, creates actionable strategies and operational plans
- Experience on dealing with SAP Max Attention and coordinating efforts with SAP on complex challenges
- Experience in managing the best practices in Test Methodology amp; governance, SAP cutovers planning amp; execution, SAP change controls, hypercare support and transition to support model.
- Strong focus on cost, schedule, resource plan and quality of project delivery
- Knowledge of relevant business processes and related technology solutions
- Stakeholder management and ability to influence positively in decision making
- Solid experience with RFP processes, contracts, and vendor management
- Proven ability in building effective teams across internal and external partners
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field, or equivalent work experience.
- PMP or equivalent certification
