At Courier we are on a mission to make computer-to-human software communication delightful. Our first step in achieving this is to do for notification infrastructure what Stripe has done for payments infrastructure. We’ve created the complete communication stack for developer teams.
Our API takes the tedium out of integrating various notification channels, while our Studio lets anyone design a message template and deliver the right message to the right user at the right time with a single API call. Email, Push, Slack, SMS, you name it.
We’ve raised $12.5 million from Bessemer Venture Partners, Matrix Partners, Twilio, SendGrid, Slack, and Y Combinator. We're fanatical about delivering an amazing experience to software developers of companies big and small; if you are too, we should talk!
We’re solving a complex and tedious problem for developers: product notification infrastructure. Companies like LinkedIn, Slack, and GitHub dedicate large engineering teams and tens of million of dollars per year building and maintaining the systems that power their user notifications, alerts, reminders, digests, and other programmatic communication. With Courier, the next generation of startups will be able to dedicate those resources to delivering customer value rather than reinventing the wheel.
Our Developer Relations team will be responsible for engaging with the developer community to educate them on how Courier can help them accomplish more with less. This may include events, workshops, guides, example apps, and more. The ultimate mix and strategy will be up to you as the Head of Developer Relations.Responsibilities- Define and execute the Developer Relations strategy for Courier
- Work with product, engineering, sales, and marketing to ensure that the Developer Relations strategy aligns with broader business goals
- Build a high-functioning team to carry out the strategy
- Be an outspoken advocate for Courier who is active wherever our audience congregates (Twitter, conferences, Hacker News, etc).
Requirements - 3+ years experience in Developer Relations
- Great story teller: able to show the value of a product through using it
- Technologist: you love trying new technology through building with it
- Strategic: constantly thinking about what is best for the business and aligning your team around it
- Customer Centric: You are passionate about making the software development process better
