We’re looking for an experienced Communications Manager to be a key contributor in the external communications team as we scale. Reporting to the Director of Communications, you’ll craft B2B narratives to help stories about Bolt's technology, partnerships, and customer success stories take flight.
If you enjoy telling and consuming technology stories, working independently, bringing fresh new ideas to the table and being able to execute on them instantly, default to asking "why" before "how", and have an innate get-it-done mentality, look no further. This is your chance to help Bolt carve out its own category in ecommerce and put this company on the map. Responsibilities:- Develop stories about Bolt’s business and Conscious Culture that advance our narrative and influence in the market.
- Define scope, strategy, and positioning of business- and culture-related announcements, and determine the target audience and channels.
- Craft and edit communications materials.
- Build and maintain relationships with reporters, analysts, and industry influencers.
- Proactively pitch the media with stories on Bolt’s business and culture, as well as trends, data, and insights.
- Track and identify relevant news to take a position on and work with teams to craft commentary.
- Research thought leadership topics and outline bylined articles for executives.
- Proactively pitch Bolt to industry events to secure speaking engagements for executives.
- Regularly collaborate with our PR and ghostwriting agencies, Social Media, Internal Communications, People Operations, Product Marketing, and Retail Advocacy teams to ensure tight alignment across teams and keep our PR and Communications calendar up-to-date.
Requirements:- 4+ years of experience in PR and communications, preferably at a high-growth technology company or agency.
- A great portfolio of past press coverage that you single-handedly secured
- Established relationships with business and technology reporters of national publications.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, high volume environment
- Experience collaborating with executives and honing their public voices
- Experience with strategy, development, and execution of communication strategies
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate complex programs, processes, recommendations, and data to audiences across functions, teams, and organizational levels
- A strategic thinker and independent worker with strong project management skills and a laser attention to detail
- Demonstrated success working cross-functionally with departments, influencing without direct authority, and building strong relationships across teams
