About the Role:Madison Logic is seeking an Assistant Controller who is highly motivated to learn and grow within a fast-paced, quickly growing organization. This role will be responsible for supporting the monthly close processes, as well as supporting and initiating general accounting and reporting process improvements to gain efficiencies and strengthen the overall FinOps environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of GAAP, financial transactions, and internal controls.What You'll Do:- Perform month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries and reconciliations for various balance sheet accounts
- Analyze accounting records, including financial statements and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to standards defined within the department
- Prepare bank reconciliations
- Calculate monthly commissions
- Participate in streamlining and process improvement projects, enhancing the internal controls over accounting processes and systems
- Assist in implementing new accounting policies and procedures
- Prepare schedules and reports for management
- Provide a high level of customer service with finance and non-finance business partners
- Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance
- Assist with compilation of information for preparation of tax returns
- Support management in completing special projects, ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests, and other tasks as assigned
What You Have:- BS degree in Accounting
- 8+ years of Accounting experience
- Working knowledge and application of GAAP and internal controls (3+yrs experience)
- Prior finance experience in a related industry (Online Media, Marketing or Advertising) Required
- Superior communication skills
- Prior management experience preferred
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions
- Prior experience in a high growth company with 150 500 employees strongly preferred
- Proven ability to execute, follow-up, and ensure attention to detail

Expected Salary (Dependent upon Experience amp; Location)Base Salary: $120,000 - $130,000/yearAdditional Compensation: $15,000/year
