About Your Role:
Sendoso is seeking a talented and passionate Commissions Analyst to join our fast-paced growing accounting team.In this role, you will work closely with the Controller and Director of Accounting in San Francisco, as well as the Finance Manager in India. You will also work cross-functionally with senior leadership and sales representatives to ensure monthly and quarterly commissions are calculated timely and accurately.
This position requires an innovative thinker who can interface with multiple functions to complete monthly and quarterly objectives and implement procedures and controls while supporting our financial and reporting systems. You will have the ability to logically think through an issue and create a new or enhance an existing process. You are a self-starter, detail oriented, able to makes recommendations for process improvement and system enhancements, and partner with business leaders. This is a highly visible role, which creates significant opportunities for learning and growth.
This position will be based in the US.What You Bring To The Team:
  • An understanding of the common elements of variable incentive compensation practices.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure while leveraging time management skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, Vlookups, Index Match, etc.) coupled with the ability to quickly manipulate and analyze large data sets including building reports.
  • Understanding of Sales Operations/Order Management processes.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive compensation matters with discretion.
  • Willingness and ability to adapt to the rapid business and organizational changes in high-growth environments, successfully adjusting priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and play multiple project-related team roles.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and verbal amp; written communication skills.
Your Typical Day:
  • Responsible for all aspects of day-to-day commission administration in Spiff resulting in accurate and timely commission payments.
  • Create, validate, and audit monthly reports to ensure accuracy and completeness of commissions
  • Respond to commission-related inquiries from the Sales and Customer Success Teams in an effective and timely manner
  • Perform configuration, testing and other support activities related to plan, quota, and policy changes
  • Proactively identify, develop, and implement process improvements, documenting desktop procedures to achieve efficiencies and scalability.
  • Partner with cross functional teams including Finance, HR, Sales, Customer Success, etc.
  • Work with payroll on meeting reporting and payroll deadlines.
  • Communicate any commission changes/corrections in a timely manner to the Payroll team.
  • Perform analyses, reconciliations, SOX compliance activities, and ad hoc reporting as directed
  • SOX activities include random manual calculations to validate commission system results, payee reconciliation, and performing other control related tasks.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 4-5 years of progressive experience managing commission processes for a high growth sales team.
  • Spiff (or other commissions tool) and Salesforce experience is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or related field is required.
  • High-tech company experience (SaaS/Cloud model preferred) in Sales variable compensation.
  • Ability to multi-task across a broad range of responsibilities and work in a dynamic environment.
  • Must be self-motivated, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, possess initiative, problem definition and resolution skills, and strong analytical skills.
