We're looking for an engineer with experience supporting a data-oriented, high-velocity growth marketing team. As the first
Growth Engineer, you'll work side-by-side with our Product and Growth teams to tackle projects that deliver impact in the areas of user awareness, adoption/activation, and growth. You’ll ideate, build, and measure new projects that help end-users learn about and get the most value out of our platform. You’ll run experiments end-to-end and engage with current and prospective clients.You will:
- Collaborate closely with product to identify effective engineering solutions for business opportunities and customer problems
- Build, test, and iterate on product and feature improvements to increase acquisition conversionsImplement tools, data tracking systems, run experiments, and use the resulting data to identify areas for improvement
- Build responsive and mobile-friendly web applications that optimize sales and growth opportunities of yardzen.com
- Have ownership over our Growth technical stack and be the subject matter expert in it and produce documentation to help other teams leverage and understand it
- Work with React, TypeScript, Material-UI, CSS Node.JS, Google Firebase, and SQL
About you:
- Love iterating, experimenting, and using data to make decisions
- Feel motivated by work with a demonstrable business impact
- Understand customer needs and problems to ensure that your work contributes to improved business metrics3+ years experience shipping production-quality code
- Have experience with A/B testing frameworks
- Have experience with Google Cloud Platform or Amazon Web Services
- Have intimate knowledge of JavaScript (TypeScript a plus), HTML, and CSS
- Have experience with React or another modern front-end JavaScript library
- Recognize the art of engineering and the impact great code has on the overall user experience
- Have experience implementing Google Analytics or other third-party tools (ex.: Segment, Iterable, Cordial)
- You want to work in growth at a company that is serious about data and experimentation
