Avascent is seeking a Contracts amp; Finance Intern to join our Finance team supporting the day-to-day operations related to contracting, compliance, and finance. This is a new position created due to growth of our client business, and with an opportunity to transition full-time within three (3) months and learn and contribute to the company's mission-critical operations.RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists with documenting finance process, workflows, and best practices; creates checklists, templates and forms to support proper execution of contracts; maintains thorough and traceable records of contract documents
- Assists with onboarding external consultants, maintenance of the consultant network, and reviews invoices to ensure rates are aligned with existing contracts
- Supports the Contracts amp; Compliance function with vendor information collection, updates to client records, and ensures accuracy of contract files in shared file repository
- Assists with drafting and preparing contracting documents, including proposals, non-reliance letters, and non-disclosure agreements
- Assists with completing client-specific supplier questionnaires and retrieving client-specific documentation (including Purchase Orders)
- Supports project vetting process
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong attention to detail and appreciation for accuracy (ability to proofread and identify errors)
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and prioritize activities appropriately, in a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter with strong communication skills who can work independently and in a supportive team environment
- Ability to work with individuals across all levels and both internally and externally, to meet common goals and deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, and related software applications
EDUCATION EXPERIENCE
- Pursuit of a Bachelor's or Master's degree along with internship experience in accounting, finance or operations, in a fast-paced business environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience
