Summary:This Product Manager will work with a product team of experienced educators, designers, and developers to create innovative digital learning experiences for children! In this role, you will have the enviable opportunity to identify and design the features, flows, and user experience of Age of Learning's MMO product, Adventure Academy. You will drive product performance and the improvement of key metrics to help provide an amazing educational experience.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in product development and gaming; digital media or educational experience is a plus.Responsibilites:
  • Drive feature development from concept to launch to deliver a best-in-class user experience and drive KPIs
  • Operate with a CEO-like mindset in balancing return vs investment and risk vs reward
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to define the long-term vision of the game and feature roadmap as part of the Product Roadmap Team
  • Prioritize the roadmap with parallel, often competing KPI impacting deliverables to optimize lifetime value of the player base with a deep understanding of design and engagement mechanics
  • Identify and direct execution of improvements in functionality, content, and design, in order to increase product adoption, engagement, educational impact, and product retention
  • Own your development team backlogs and successfully communicate your product or feature vision and strategy with development pods (including client engineers, backend engineers, game designers, UI/X designers, QA and scrum masters), product team, and other stakeholders
  • Collaborate extensively with feature planning and optimization: define testing protocol, set up and execute multivariate tests, establish benchmarks internally and externally, measure performance and provide actionable recommendations to senior leadership
  • Review and manage analysis of competitive marketplace, user experience, user research and feedback, and product data to help define product strategy
  • Conduct quantitative analyses of data to provide key insights into product performance and uncover opportunities to improve learning, engagement, and retention KPIs
Required Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience as a product manager, with direct responsibility and impact on product engagement and retention KPIs
  • Proven ability to ruthlessly prioritize You understand what’s worth working on and what’s not, and you can get the team to buy into your vision
  • Experience in designing fun You can look at an underperforming game and quickly understand what it would take to make it enjoyable
  • You obsess over quality and fun but also can manage the right balance of quality vs speed
  • You are deeply empathetic with your users and you can easily put yourself in their shoes
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills and a proven ability to get stuff done
  • Passion for creating innovative, fun, and compelling learning experiences
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong experience in quantitative analysis, including the ability to model experience parameters using Excel, SQL, and business intelligence tools
  • Knowledge of multiple functional areas such as Product Management, UX/UI, Game Design, Data Science / Analytics, Engineering, or Agile Project Management
  • MBA or master’s degree in a technology or business-related field
