About the Role
This role is on the Operational Excellence team. The Ops Excellence team is primarily responsible for constantly improving the operation as a whole, and ensuring that each one of our locations has the tools and training they need to be successful in meeting our company goals of 99.9% on-time delivery and 4.9/5 stars on customer satisfaction. The four major components of this team are process improvement, training and quality, safety, and project management. You will be a foundational member of the Operational Excellence team and will be the first project manager on this team. As such, you will be creating the groundwork to make this team a success.The project manager will be responsible for planning and overseeing a wide range of projects that directly impact our ability to operate at a high level. You will plan and designate project resources, prepare budgets, monitor progress, and keep stakeholders informed throughout the project’s lifecycle. The projects you could manage range from as large as implementing automated sorting equipment inside all of our facilities across the country, to rolling out a new process or procedure.Required Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of project management and related experience
- Proven ability to solve problems creatively
- Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
Preferred Qualifications- Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar
- Experience in building a PMO from scratch in an early startup
