As a Head of Supply Chain, you will be supporting our rapidly growing organization, and will be responsible for driving the establishment of Strategic Sourcing and Procurement functions within our Supply Chain Team. This includes developing our policies, refining the sourcing strategy, and maintaining the overall management of strategic suppliers. You will lead a team that translates demand requirements and supply capability into a time phased aggregate supply and inventory plan balanced against objectives. You will monitor demand/supply trends and highlight supply and operational risks for the business.What you’ll do:-Develop a supply chain team through motivating, hiring, appraising, coaching, training, and challenging the team members-Build and execute the operational model that provides procurement support to ongoing field operations while also developing a strategic sourcing team to manage long lead critical components for next generation products.-Identify, contract, and develop supply chain partnerships that factor in cost, quality, capacity, technical development support, tier 2 sub supplier management, corporate responsibility and duties/tariffs/import/export requirements.-Reviews and analyzes activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine progress toward stated goals and objectives-Ensure proper inventory levels/turns are maintained by consistently reviewing weeks of supply, consumption, and trend.-Work with Logistics to ensure on time delivery of parts and equipment and resolve unanticipated demand.-Oversee and manage the monthly planning process for products purchased from contract manufacturing sites (e.g., rolling purchase forecasts, purchase orders)-Develop and lead the Sales and Operations Planning process, ensuring supply plans are accurate, stable and aligned with business requirements, capabilities and other objectives.-Review and reconcile demand forecast vs. supply plan and make supply chain optimization recommendations such as expediting, postponement, consolidation or supply reduction.-Conduct regular reviews with Supply Chain and internal teams on replenishment and fill rate performance. Develop reports related to -POs, supply commit schedules, inventory, forecast accuracy and other KPIs.-Conduct root cause analysis for supply chain issues/constraints/process gaps and drive corrective actions.What we’re looking for:-Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in supply chain or procurement with 3+ years of team management-Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, technical field or related field of study. MBA preferred.-Extensive experience in supply chain with emphasis on strategic sourcing of electronic components-Strong organizational and plannings skills with an aggressive approach to meeting schedule commitments-Data-driven and results-oriented approach to problem solving-Experience growing and leading teams in a startup environment-Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization-Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with procurement strategy and cost management best practices-Excellent communication skills and the proven ability to effectively work with global suppliers-Prior experience managing external overseas EMS/CM/Supplier partners-Self-disciplined approach to achieve results-Enthusiastic and motivated with the ability to build relationshipsSuperpedestrian actively encourages applications from people of all backgrounds.
