Superpedestrian is seeking a hands-on Battery Systems Engineer to drive the design and implementation of rechargeable batteries for light electric vehicles. Working with the firmware, electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing teams, you will ensure that all of our light EV sharing products perform beyond expectations.You will work closely as part of our embedded systems team to design and engineer vehicle batteries, safety systems, and software to ensure reliable and safe batteries for use in our sharing fleets around the world.
What you’ll do:Own the overall system design of Superpedestrian's battery systemsDrive the architecture of the system throughout the lifecycle from manufacturing, system validation, operation, charging, and decommissioningGenerate detailed engineering requirements from internal product requirements and applicable regulatory standardsCoordinate the peer review process for hardware and software development for battery systems to include all stakeholdersAnalyze test data to validate system performanceTest and coordinate battery charger designHands-on support of test development and executionLead technical risk identification and mitigation efforts including DFMEAInvestigate new technologies
