As a
Design Researcher at Cision, you will join an exciting growing research team. You will execute and develop user insights that drive innovative product experiences and business outcomes. This important role will support the delivery of day-today product initiatives as well as help drive more strategic Ramp;D objectives for Cision. The Design Researcher will provide overall ethnographic and evaluative frameworks to help ensure we are understanding important aspects of our customer behavior as well as solving their key needs and pain points to drive exceptional experience.Responsibilities
- As a contributor, you will take an insights-based approach with teams by developing and producing customer journeys, personas, and user testing
- You will take part in conducting surveys, user interviews, competitive/comparative analysis and synthesizing findings
- You will present design research to other teams as well as the broader organization to establish a better frame and understanding of our customers
- You will use both qualitative and quantitative measures that identify user behaviors and opportunities
- You will work directly with product teams to address the most critical needs and pain points users encounter on the service
- You will help lead by example by building and conducting best practice workshop facilitation, planning and synthesis
- You will support key strategic research initiatives that drive core parts of the business this may include liaising with other cross-team design researchers within other Cision acquisitions
- You will consider an inclusive mindset toward different customer needs such as special needs in accessibility, WCAG, and equitable benefits of our service
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in design research
- Have supported key research activities for shipped digital products
- You are strong presenter and conveyer of insights and voice of the customer
- You have solid experience running design workshops planning, facilitating, and synthesizing findings
- You have a portfolio that represents at least 3 complete research case studies demonstrating different aspects of the research lifecycle
- You can adapt to changing dynamics and apply research methodology to unique situations that address key business outcomes
- You hold a bachelor’s degree in design or design research/HCI or have attained solid levels of certification in the field of design research
