About the Role:Yieldstreet’s Investment Team is looking for a Junior Associate responsible for financial analytics and cash flow modeling to join our Private Business Credit vertical. You will report to the Senior Director, Head of Underwriting and play an integral part in the growth of Yieldstreet's Private Business Credit asset class. You will be responsible for creating the business model for all new direct originations and for critically reviewing the models provided by outside origination partners. In addition, you will assist the team with administrative operations associated with closing new transactions and will work collaboratively with the internal performance management team and external auditors. Since our May 2020 launch, Yieldstreet Private Business Credit has originated over $350M in new investments to growing consumer and commercial finance companies, making us one of the market leaders in specialty finance. Our investment structures include participations, direct loans and leases, and receivable portfolio asset acquisitions.The ideal candidate will have a passion for Yieldstreet’s mission of helping individual investors gain access to a variety of alternative investments at above market yields. Private Business Credit is headquartered in New York City with offices in Phoenix, Arizona and Herndon, Virginia. While we are partially working remotely due to the pandemic, this role requires you to be located at our headquarters in New York City.What you'll do:
- Prepare detailed flexible financial models, including base case and downside case analytics, as an integral part of the credit underwriting and ongoing performance management processes for each individual transaction.
- Monitor financial and collateral performance of each transaction against plan for borrowing bases, financial results, model performance and compliance with credit agreements.
- Assist in preparation of quarterly net asset valuations on all assets under management working collaboratively with performance management and accounting teams.
- Assist the team with administrative operations tasks associated with closing, funding and monitoring new transactions.
What you'll need:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum of two years of experience in financial data analytics with an emphasis on building functional performance and cash flow models for consumer and/or commercial receivable asset securitizations.
- Ability to analyze and stratify large quantities of financial performance data, construct cash flow models for asset portfolios for base case and downside case scenarios based on specific assumptions, prepare monthly performance to plan tracking reports for management.
- Ability to accurately articulate a historic performance analysis and projected performance analysis in both verbal and written form.
- Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Deal execution mindset and ability to work as part of a high-performance team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; in-depth knowledge of Excel is critical.
- Ability to work at the pace of a venture-backed hyper growth organization.
- Flexible and dynamic capacity to multitask in multiple sub-asset classes of Private Business Credit vertical including consumer receivables, commercial loan and leases and other bespoke assets.

- CFA or MBA in finance/accounting
