Job Description

As Carbon’s PLM Analyst you will elevate Carbon’s tools and capabilities. Someone in the role should have a passion for innovation, as well as possess the organizational skills and adaptability to usher projects through the configuration management and product lifecycle phases. You will be an integral part of the engineering team helping drive the speed of development. This position is a contracting role for at least 6 months.Responsibilities:
  • Assist with executing and tracking completion of engineering change orders, deviations, and all other configuration management activities
  • Coordinate the implementation of internal subsystem bills of materials and top-level assemblies
  • Provide structural assistance and management for the creation of off-the-shelf and custom part numbers.
  • Assist with managing and driving product lifecycle management tool readiness for all build phases and through the complete product lifecycle
  • Partner with logistics teams to properly classify parts and assemblies for import and export shipments
  • Assist with managing information and applicable supporting documents including, manufacturing part number specifications, restriction of hazardous substances certificates, and other applicable attributes.
  • Act as Engineering’s data champion for CAD and Vault initiatives
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S/B.A) from four-college or university and 0 to 2 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Working knowledge of PLM tools and processes
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing development projects
  • Basic knowledge of materials and components in a production environment
  • Must have great attention to detail and organization skills as well as the ability to work independently
  • Understanding of manufacturing, supply chain operations, or engineering
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills
