POSITION OVERVIEW:The Red Sox are looking to add a creative writer and Tweeter to join our social media team on a part-time, seasonal basis. The in-game social media producer will support game-day digital needs for the organization. Specifically, the role requires in-game Twitter/Facebook/IG/TikTok/Snapchat updates and content to supplement and enhance the club’s daily efforts. This will include live-tweeting, posting highlights to several social media channels, and working to shape the online voice and tone of the brand. This role is extremely collaborative, working daily in a team setting.RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with social team to coordinate live coverage of all games including Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram needs
- Assist with in-game social responsibilities for both home and away games
- Manage Red Sox Snapchat stories
- Oversee 1:1 fan engagement across social platforms
- Edit and share game recap content across all club social media
- Manage GIF and digital asset libraries
- Assist in regular social and marketing analytics reporting
- Track the performance of Red Sox social content through post tagging
CHARATERISTICS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- A deep understanding of all major social platforms and trends including Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Snapchat
- Excellent writing skills; A strong handle of grammar, punctuation, syntax, and social voice
- Keen editorial sense and significant attention to detail
- Photoshop experience and general knowledge
- Exercise excellent judgement and decision making skills
- Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Shifts last from 2-3 hours before first pitch until 45-90 minutes after the final out for both home and away games.
- Extensive knowledge of baseball and the league
- Prior experience handling a brand or team social account is a plus
- Proficient in Spanish is a plus
