Getaround is looking for a seasoned growth executive with a proven track record for scaling businesses 10x through strategic marketing and enterprise sales tactics. As the VP, Growth, you will own all things sales and marketing for the North American business. At Getaround our sales strategy is largely focused around pitching and closing Hosts who view Getaround as a business opportunity and supporting their growth on the platform, while our guest acquisition is centered around acquiring high frequency users that see Getaround as an alternative to car ownership.
The VP, Growth is responsible for developing the long-term vision for how Getaround will 10x our footprint over the next 18 months and supporting both the Sales and Marketing senior leaders in their ability to create the strategy and execution plan for bringing the vision to life. The ideal candidate will have experience in leading both enterprise sales and growth marketing organizations with a clear bias towards action and a desire to find the most efficient way to scale a business. This is an executive role in the North American region and will be a key leadership role across the organization. We will look to this leader to own the growth motion for the business and will be someone who has the power to change the trajectory of Getaround’s success.What you’ll do:
  • Enterprise Sales Org Development: Support the Sr. Director of Sales in their development and hiring of the long term organization needed to 10x the business
  • Enterprise Sales Process Creation: Support the Sales organization in building the vision for the processes and tools needed to scale the business rapidly and consistently
  • Drive Sales Urgency: Push the sales org to think big and grow their accounts faster than they thought possible
  • Lead Sales Strategy at Large: Getaround has only recently transitioned to an enterprise sales mindset. This role will be a key leader in continuing to push the team to become a fast moving enterprise sales org
  • Growth Marketing Roadmap: Work alongside the Director, Marketing to build and lead the vision, strategy, and results supporting marketplace growth, engagement, and retention across paid and owned channels
  • Growth Marketing Efficiency Management: Support the Director, Marketing in managing a rapidly scaling marketing budget so that we are getting the highest possible ROI for every dollar spent
  • Know Our Customer: Push the marketing team to understand our Hosts and Guests in and out. We have a HUGE opportunity to provide a business opportunity to our Hosts and a mobility solution to Guests that is life changing. We want to be as targeted as possible in pushing that vision to the people it resonates with the most
  • Growth Mindset: Push the team to move quickly while executing on the large scale growth targets for the business. An ability to build processes for rapid testing, execution and iteration is key for success in this role
What you'll need:
  • 15+ years experience leading Growth organizations with at least 3 years in an executive roleProven track record of growing a business quickly through unique and effective sales and marketing strategies.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with an ability to build growth strategies and operations from scratch in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment
  • Strong understanding of measurement and tech solutions to advise on marketing and sales tech stacksExcellent analytical skills with the ability to drive decision-making through data
  • Proven experience building teams with a passion for providing mentorship and coaching to team members
  • Proactive, curious problem solver with can-do attitude
  • Strategic big picture thinker with the ability to turn a massive idea into a reality
  • Phenomenal teammate with the ability to establish relationships with fellow executives and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Experience in marketplace business, auto-tech, or high growth startup is a plus
