As a
Technical Partner Manager you
will be responsible for providing technical project management and oversight for outsourced IoT hardware projects, ensuring that these projects are completed on-time, within budget, scope and with an extremely high quality of deliverables. You will be based in our
Chicago office.
You will act as a technical liaison for relayr’s partner ecosystem, managing hardware projects and partner initiatives and engagements. Acting as a project management technical lead and subject matter expert and being responsible for working with relayr’s sales and project teams to deliver edge hardware solutions, through our partner ecosystem, as part of relayr’s end-end IoT business solutions.

- Manage all aspects of outsourced hardware prototyping, design amp; build and integration projects.
- Serve as the primary technical liaison between relayr and our hardware partners, both project specific and general engagement.
- Manage technical requirements and specifications for external hardware contractors and partners.
- Review and consult on the project requirements from a hardware standpoint.
- Review the Statement of Work (SoW) and quotations from prospect contractors from a technical perspective.
- Bridge communication and requirements between external contractors and the technical project teams at relayr.
- Enable and remove blockers to facilitate the work of the external contractors engaged in projects.
- Provide visibility on the progress of the outsourced hardware components to project stakeholders.
- Review the technical deliverables and ensure acceptance criteria are met.
- Facilitate testing and integration of edge hardware with relayr platform.
- Provide feedback and technical support to the Professional Services organisation.
- Participate in partner Quarterly Business Review.
About you:
- Relevant of experience in a technical role
- Experience in industrial related projects
- Experience in Supply Chain Management in EMEA, US or Asia
- Able to demonstrate experience working in successful projects
- Good understanding of system design and cloud concepts
- Knowledge and experience with industrial technologies and protocols (Modbus, Profinet) would be a plus
- Experience with edge device design and configuration
- Experience with IoT hardware platforms (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, BeagleBone) would be a plus
- Basic networking and Linux skills
- A team player with the ability to work in complex cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of MQTT and RESTFul concepts
- Degree in Electronics, Mechatronics or Computer Science
