Synthego is seeking an experienced, collaborative and highly motivated RA to join the Pre-clinical team. RA, Preclinical will be trained and provide support to scientists to advance a defined project from conception to proof-of-concept in vitro. The successful candidate will have experience with primary cell isolation and culture to support cross-team projects.What You'll Do:
- Primary cell isolation and expansion.
- Perform CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing on primary cells and/or established cell lines.
- Test conditions and optimize engineered cell assays protocols.
- Flow cytometry analysis to phenotype engineered primary cells.
- Assist scientists in experimental processing.
- Support mechanical and software engineers to test automated cell engineering platform
About You:
- BS or MS in cell biology, immunology, biotechnology or related discipline, 0-2 years experiences in academia or industry setting, with strong motivation.
- Experience in cell culture, especially in primary cell culture techniques is prefered.
- Experience with primary cell isolation (HSC, T cell, B cell, monocytes, etc) and genome editing techniques is a plus.
- Ability to organize and prepare reagents to support internal and external cross-team projects.
- Ability to plan and execute protocols and project tasks independently.
- Previous experience with immune-based in vitro assays, multicolor flow cytometry, cell based assays, ELISA, common molecular techniques, and data analysis is a plus.
- Proficiency with standard data analytical software (FlowJo, Prism, Excel, et al).
- Detail-oriented, organized, ability to implement protocols and keep good notes in a lab notebook is a must.
- Ability to present and communicate project updates at team meetings.
- Ability to work within a fast-paced environment, with a Can do and Do now attitude.
- Demonstrated ability to perform as a team player.
