Job Description

The IT Security team is responsible for securing Dragos infrastructure and data. IT security is vital to ensuring a strategic Information Security program that adapts to ever-changing environments, risks, and vulnerabilities.
The Dragos IT Security team is looking for an experienced Network Security Engineer to expand our internal information security team. This role will participate in projects and programs that cover all domains of cybersecurity in a distributed technology environment. Primary responsibilities include (1) providing advanced expertise in a complex network security environment, including architecture guidance and ensuring a reliable technical infrastructure is maintained to serve the company securely and effectively; (2) providing oversight and leadership of the internal vulnerability management program; and (3) participating in security incident investigations and preparing incident response reports.Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning and design of network security infrastructure and provide subject matter expertise for network services; assist with configuration, maintenance, and administration of FortiGate Firewalls and Networking Appliances
  • Identify security risks, threats, and vulnerabilities of networks, systems, applications, and new technology initiatives and develop and drive solutions to remediate identified threats
  • Analyze network activity and problems; create and enhance detective controls to help network engineers discover and prevent systematic errors
  • Create and enhance detective controls throughout the enterprise networks; participate in security exercises and incident investigations to drive incident management process improvements
  • Lead the vulnerability management program including conducting and facilitating vulnerability scanning, reporting, and mitigation activities, as directed by senior team members; create, maintain, and mature network security and vulnerability management processes and procedures. Evaluate vulnerability scans within a heterogeneous, multi-platform, large enterprise network
  • Create, modify, and mature vulnerability management reports and metrics, to drive remediation of vulnerabilities
  • Perform technical and programmatic assessments, evaluate engineering and integration initiatives, and provide technical support to assess security policies, standards, and guidelines
  • Create high fidelity detection content for network environments
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in networking and cybersecurity and 7+ years of experience in implementing, securing, and supporting network infrastructure for large enterprise networks (including data centers)
  • Hands-on experience with vulnerability scanning and reporting, including analysis of results to effectively prioritize remediation efforts; network monitoring tools and protocols
  • Prior experience implementing network segmentation, experience with firewalls (FortiGate), and a good understanding of systems and application security
  • Network automation and scripting experience (e.g., Ansible, Python, PowerShell, etc.)
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently
  • Experience with security processes and documentation
  • Security incident response experience

  • Familiarity with security frameworks and cyber security regulations
Compensation
  • Base Salary: $155,000
  • Base + Benefits + Equity =$221,500
