Picture yourself here:When you join PPGNY as the Associate Vice President, Education (AVP), you will be responsible for overseeing Equity and Engagement’s education programs for youth, adults, and parents. Additional responsibilities include:
  • Guide staff in developing innovative, program plans that are community responsive and grounded in theory.
  • Partner closely with Development and organizational leadership to seek and respond to funding to sustain and build programs and partnerships for sexual and reproductive health education and reproductive justice initiatives and other relevant topics.?
  • Support the creation of annual department budgets in collaboration with Vice President, Education and core team leaders and managers
  • Collaborate with Research and Evaluation to monitor program quality and standards to meet community needs and organizational strategic goals, and research and evaluation priority programs.?
  • Monitor programmatic performance and adherence to grant requirements including: ensuring deliverables and outcomes are met; monitoring related budgets; and ensuring accurate and compliant completion of grant/funder reports for internal and external purposes.
  • Identify and nurture strategic relationships/partnerships with reproductive, social and economic justice organizations to enhance PPGNY’s community accountability and educational programs in meeting our mission.?
  • Oversee the development of strong partnerships with local community leaders, schools and groups to build connection, accountability and to promote PPGNY’s community education initiatives, access to care and supportive services.?
  • Collaborate on intradepartmental and interdepartmental projects/efforts and serve on relevant internal committees or work groups.?
You have:
  • Bachelors’ Degree
  • 7+ years of work experience in organizations leading teams and/or managing director level or above
  • Extensive experience with communities impacted by adverse health outcomes, knowledge systemic barriers to sexual reproductive health and wellbeing faced by marginalized communities especially women, LGBTQ, poor/working class and communities of color
  • History of collaborating with diverse groups of stakeholders to achieve ambitious outcomes
  • Analysis of how systemic oppression and racism impacts communities of color
What makes you stand out:
  • Master’s Degree in Public Health, Social Work, Education, Management or similar
  • Bilingual, Spanish/English strongly preferred
