What You’ll Do:As a Junior Trade Support Engineer, you will join our interdisciplinary team to ensure the smooth operation of trading systems and infrastructure that power our trading activities in financial markets. As an integral member of an aggressive and nimble IT team, you will have the opportunity to tackle challenging problems in programming, networking and technology. Your initial responsibilities will include maintaining and monitoring the health of our trading systems and infrastructure that support critical trading applications and activity. Responsibilities include: Deploy, maintain and support trading software and technology assets. Research and develop methodologies and processes to ensure the health and stability of the production trading environment. Assist developers in troubleshooting and improving low latency systems. Track and solve issues as part of a fast-paced, results-driven IT team.What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant industry experience
- Experience troubleshooting application and OS level issues
- Solid understanding of operating systems and network architectures
- Experience in building, deploying and maintaining desktops and servers
- Entrepreneurial attitude with a keen attention to structure, detail and tidiness
- Ability to navigate desktop and command line environments
- Strong documentation mentality
- Solid scripting skills (Ruby, Powershell, Bash)
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Comfort resolving uncertainty and communicating for issue resolution
