We’re looking for an in-house videographer/editor who can show, tell, and sell the hell out of the Shinesty brand and products. You will work as a collaborative storyteller with the creative team focusing primarily on video advertisements for distribution across paid social channels. We’re looking for someone hungry who wants to create entertaining content seen by millions weekly.
We produce award-winning content disguised as advertisements in a very fast-paced environment. If you have more ideas than you know what to do with, we’ll find a place for them. Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Quickly and efficiently shoot and edit engaging video creative for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, on-site, and other channels
- Work hand-in-hand with channel leaders, creative producers, other editors, and production coordinators to create engaging and effective video creative
- Assist in directing video shoots
- Actively run and participate in brainstorming sessions for various creative opportunities across the business
- Identify and iterate winning creatives, and troubleshoot poor performers.
- Work with production coordinators on photoshoot logistics amp; planning (doing whatever needs to be done to make your idea come to life)
- Entertain millions weekly
Competencies:
- An excellent understanding of Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, Final Cut Pro(or, comparable editing softwares)
- Comfortable with DSLR/mirrorless formats
- Great understanding (or, at least instinct) of paid media/social media ad networks and the pace at which successful ads are created
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly and adeptly about how to address problems as they arise
- The ability to prioritize your work, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and understand importance of diminishing returns
- The ability to direct independent photo and video shoots
- A great sense of humor (you’ve got to have this, just look at the products we sell)
- The ability to effectively, and efficiently, multi-task. Detail-oriented
- Ability to bounce between both high-production value executions and more quick/dirty production as needed
- An exceptional eye for detail
Education and/or Experience:
- 1-3+ years in video shooting amp; editing (experience does not have to be professional, can be in school or personal)
- We’ll look at everybody for this role as long as you have the ability and experience to produce hilarious video creative across all platforms (with some relevant work examples to back it up)
