The Human Resources Assistan supports the HR functions of the Client. The Human Resources Assistant works closely with the Human Resources Consultant, Finance Department and Participant Relations Department to support various areas of the Client’s work, and handles a diverse array of responsibilities within the organization. This position requires a high degree of professionalism and discretion as it involves exposure to and handling of confidential Client information.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide primary support for HR, with associated Finance support, to include:
- Process bi-weekly payroll
- Manage payroll related periodic actions items such as quarterly and annual wage amp; tax report
- Manage employee files and record-keeping
- Support recruitment
- Provide primary support for Participant Services Department for the following activities:
- Prepare participate in periodic wage and tax reporting
- Support annual distribution
- Enter distribution items into NetSuite
- Manage canceled check process
- Other special projects as assigned
- Assist in the onboarding and off-boarding of employees, including the entering of new hire data into the HRIS
- Prepare various HR Audit reports
- Support for Annual budget process
- Prepare verifications of employment/income amp; garnishments including but not limited to: requests from banking/financial institutions (i.e. employment/income verifications) and various government agencies (i.e., IRS, Franchise Tax Board, EDD, SSA, Child Support Services).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 2 years related work experience in HR amp; accounting
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Project management experience
