Bring your wide range of expertise to provide oversight and attention to supply quality at Matternet. The Supplier Quality Engineer will split their time between supplier and manufacturing quality activities while leading multiple projects in a cross-functional, deterministic environment.

Internally, you’ll interact with individuals from nearly every Engineering discipline, including mechanical, electrical, embedded amp; cloud SW, HW, mechatronic, robotic, systems, and design. Externally, you’ll be guiding relationships with suppliers and CMs to ensure our expectations are met.

Our ideal new teammate has a strong testing background and enjoys troubleshooting issues, working through cause amp; effect, diving deep into root cause analysis.

• Own the supplier management system i.e. new supplier quality assessment, source control document generation, Approved Supplier List (ASL) management, supplier performance audits/reviews
  • Providing support for our aircraft and station on manufacturing and supplier issue resolutions i.e., Supplier Corrective Actions, manufacturing process quality improvements
• Manage the 1st article inspection reporting system for new parts amp; required FAA 8130-9 Conformance documentation for new-build aircraft
• Own non-conforming material review (MRB) amp; disposition process, Quality Systems internal audits
• Perform 8D root cause corrective action management amp; reporting
• Own quarterly manufacturing amp; supplier quality performance reporting and improvement plans
• Manage the PFMEA amp; PQP/PMP living documents for Matternet manufacturing along with our key manufacturing partners
• Own change approval for supplier and manufacturing impacting related changes, including assessing potential reliability impacts that could be introduced

Requirements

• BS Electrical or Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering
• 6+ years’ of experience focused on supplier quality, failure analysis, reliability, manufacturing quality, and quality engineering
  *Equivalent experience will be considered
• Experience performing
  • Process FMEA for electronics and mechanical manufacturing
  • 8D / Six Sigma DMAIC analysis amp; reporting
  • First article process and MRB review/disposition process
  • Supplier conformance amp; issue management
  • Cause amp; Effect analysis
  • Design of Experiments
  • Data mining for key cause amp; effect factors
  • New product introduction
  • Change management PLM systems e.g, Arena-PTC, Oracle-Agile
  • JIRA (Atlassian) project-issue user and/or administrator
  • Confluence (Atlassian) user
  • Google office suite - Docs, sheets, calendar
  • Zoom, Google Meets, MS Teams video conferencing
